Welcome to another wonderful month at Bellingen Community Markets, not just a marketplace, but a great place, to be !
Thanks for joining us. Some of our permanent stallholders have taken the opportunity to have a break and will return for our April holiday market. That only meant no waiting list and more positions available for the new, cool casual stalls applying this month – welcome to you all.
As one of the oldest, largest, most diverse markets on the coast, locals and visitors are keen to attend and enjoy the stall diversity, great food, music and good vibe of the day, which comes back to you, your quality product and friendly, happy ways. Thanks for being a big wonderful part of our day.
We bid farewell to longstanding native plant stallholder Colin Broadfoot from Boggy Creek Natives, who is retiring for a new journey. We wish Colin all the very best. Boggy Creek Natives will continue on at our market with a new owner Francine. I know you will make her feel welcome.
We also say goodbye to our lovely C Section coordinator Lyn Woodbury who retired last month to finish building her home with hubby. We thank Lyn for her positive and shining presence and wish her all the very best and getting the home she deserves. A big welcome to Kat who takes over from Lyn in C section, Marco who is our new C/D Traffic Coordinator and Beth who joins us as E Coordinator. Such a shake up of crew this month, but so happy to have these new happy and diligent souls join us. Please help make our new crew members feel welcome and valued. I’m super proud of our crew, they do their jobs well and more than happy to help you when needed. Please listen to their directives and always treat them with respect and kindness, as we treat you. Thanks. 🙂
The bunya nut tress will be roped off with a sign to stay away. You will find them at Church St side of market and corner of Park and Ford Streets. The bunya nut tree at Park St gate is sparce and has no Bunyas on top, so this area is AOK. It’s the season for bunya nuts to drop and they can weight up to 10kgs, so we don’t want this happening at our market. Thanks for being smart and staying away !
We have some very cool music with “AT LAST” playing on the stage from 10am and Grace Wong will be our Fairy Face painter for the day. Not to forget a smorgasbord of delicious, fresh, hot and cold food and drinks. Hope you get a chance to wander.
Thanks for joining us and have the best market day

MUSIC FOR MARCH
At Last
At Last are a husband and wife duo who travelled around Australia 10 years ago and played at markets, restaurants, festivals, cafes and busked just for the sheer fun of it. They love to play at outdoor venues and enjoy connecting to the audiences with their mix of jazz, blues, 70’s pop and some country tunes for good measure. But most of all they enjoy what they do and hope that you do too.

Market day procedure:
Please read what’s expected at our market. Your understanding and compliance helps to ensure a smooth and enjoyable day for all. Thanks.
- Most importantly, read our “stallholder’s terms & conditions” . You agreed to this when you booked, and it’s vital you cooperate.
- Listen to directives of our crew, be patient, flexible, friendly and respectful.
- Arrive at the correct time at the right gate.
- Permanents enter at 6.30am and casuals at 6.45am.
- Unless prior notice, anyone arriving after 7.30am may loose their position.
- Remain quiet when lining up in morning to consider sleeping residents.
- When in the park, do not reverse and please drive one way.
- Always drive at walking pace and NEVER drive on football oval.
- When entering, drive in and park close to your stall so other cars can pass.
- Quickly unload and take your car out before returning to set up.
- Park a couple of streets away so your customers can park closer.
- Come back to set up your stall and get ready for a good day.
- Cars must be out by 8am latest and no cars to stay in the park unless agreed with Manager.
- Fees are collected at 10am so please have the correct change ready. Don’t rely on sales to pay your fee.
- We are a plastic free market, so no plastic products and nothing covered in plastic.
- All eating utensils must be biodegradable
- Help us reduce our rubbish intake by taking home ALL your rubbish.
- This is especially important for food vendors who need to take home all their food scraps, ideally composting them.
- Smile for the camera. Photos are often taken and uploaded to Facebook after the market.
- Gates open again at 2.30pm for cars to enter for pack down. Again please drive at walking pace.
- Report any incidents to your section coordinator or Manager.
- Please be out of the park by 4pm latest.
- NO DOGS ALLOWED
- Have the best market day and thanks for your support and cooperation.
Other information:
Casual stallholders need to fill out the booking form on webpage every month to apply for our market. It’s best to do so 2-4 weeks before each market (held on 3rd Saturday of month). Casuals also need to confirm their site by replying to the booking email they receive. It takes 6-12 months attending our market regularly as a casual and all going well, we will invite you to be permanent.
Cancellations – if you need to cancel your booking (permanent or casual) please do so asap and definitely before the Sunday before the market so as not to incur a missed stall fee. The earlier you can cancel the better.
Happy marketing, networking and socialising.
