Georgia Cortes Rayner
Playing on the main stage from 10am – 2.30pm
Georgia’s distinctive smooth vocals and heartfelt lyrics combine with her music to create something that is folky, bluesy, bit country, bit rock, bit hip hop, social commentary/protest and her own style of observational angst.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, to Australian and Ecuadorian parents, raised in New Orleans & Brooklyn, Scotts Head has been home for Georgia since 2004. After careers in law, town planning and local government, Georgia took the plunge into being a fulltime singer song writer at age 52.
At age 55 Georgia released her first Album, The Past Is A Passenger’. She’s now writing songs for her second album, and gigging as much as possible. For more information go to the below sites.

COMMUNITY GROUP OF THE DAY
FOREST ECOLOGY ALLIANCE (FEA)
Forest Ecology Alliance (FEA) are an environmental organisation based on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. FEA is made up of ecologists, botanists, environmentalists and citizen scientists who work together with the aim to safeguard Country. FEA work towards the conservation of native forests on Gumbaynggirr homelands, alongside other conservation groups, whom we work with and mutually support.
Our main efforts go into producing ecology surveys, writing, publishing and distributing scientific reports relating to specific local forests. We also make recommendations to various organisations, (eg. Forestry Corporation NSW, and the EPA)FEA also work to educate community about what is happening in the local forests in regards to their management by holding stalls at local markets and public events. FEA have been on radio and television and in the newspapers.
We are a non-exclusive alliance. We are not affiliated with any political party. One of our aims in FEA is to help connect senior experienced ecologists and botanists and other scientists with younger citizen scientists to mentor them, encourage them, and provide a network for them.
