Winter has well and truly arrived. Thank goodness the rain has eased and the sunshine has returned and how gloriously warming she is. Hope you have managed to soak up her soothing, healing rays. The colours of Bellingen in June are spectacular and we’re fortunate to to be surrounded by many spectacular trees at our market park.
We have a great market coming up. Lots of stall variety, yum food, drinks and excellent entertainment with Glenn Heath and The Deep Blue Sea. Our community group this month is St Mary’s Primary School who will be on the gates welcoming all, so please support them where you can.

Glenn Heath & the Deep Blue Sea
The Deep Blue Sea play new and old songs, along with a large portfolio of original material. The band has a bent for improvisation and enjoys experimenting with classics. They continue to develop their original music by diving into fusions of Jazz, Blues and Latin styles.
The Deep Blue Sea are Geoff Dixon (Bass), Joe Tussie (Drums) and Glenn Heath (Guitar/Vocals).
They look forward to catching up with friends at our Markets.
In the meantime, here is a prevue of their latest single, “Summer”.

St Marys Primary School is our community group of the month !
The St Mary’s Primary School P&F exists to bridge the gap between the school and families that attend.
One of it’s primary goals is to financially assist the school as the P&F helps with purchasing learning readers, funding educational and fun events, upgrading supplies and equipment to enhance the learning and positive experience of our children’s education.
They help us set up and pack down and shake buckets at the gates, so please support the group as they welcome you with a friendly smile to Bellingen Community Markets.
Stallholder procedure
It’s important you read and follow the below market day procedures. Your cooperation helps the day flow smoothly and enjoyably for all. Please:
- Read and agree to our “stallholder’s terms & conditions”
- Listen to directives of crew, be patient, flexible, friendly and respectful to all.
- Arrive at the correct time at the right gate.
- Permanents enter at 6.30am.
- Casuals enter at 6.45am.
- Unless prior notice, anyone arriving after 7.30am may loose their position.
- Remain quiet when lining up in morning to consider sleeping residents.
- When in park drive at walking pace, do not reverse and drive one way.
- Never drive on the football oval.
- When entering, drive in and park close to your stall so other cars can pass.
- Quickly unload and take your car out before returning to set up.
- The above helps alleviate traffic congestion.
- Park a couple of streets away so your customers can park closer.
- Cars must be out of the park by 8am and no cars stay in unless agreed by Manager.
- Fees are collected at 10am so have the correct money ready and do not rely on sales to pay.
- We are a plastic free market. NO PLASTIC !
- All eating utensils must be biodegradable.
- Take home your rubbish. Please do not use red bins or skips. Sorry we just don’t have the capacity.
- This is especially important for food vendors who need to take home their food scraps.
- Smile for the camera. Photos are taken and uploaded to Facebook after the market.
- Gates open again at 2.30pm for cars to enter and pack down. Please do not enter before this.
- Always drive at walking pace.
- Report any incidents to your section coordinator or Manager.
- Be out of the park by 4pm latest.
- Sorry but no dogs allowed
