MARKET CANCELLED DUE TO LOTS OF RAIN!
Welcome to our January holiday market this Saturday 18 January 2025. With the school holidays coming to end, I’m hoping lots of lovely families visit and have a good time. Once again we have a full park of the most amazing stalls and food.
Yes the weather is looking precarious, but don’t loose hope, envision a beautiful day and lets just see how it turns out. In more cases than not, it doesn’t rain and we end up having the best day!
The power of MASS manifesting is magical
and nothing ventured nothing gained!
BUT just in case, check Facebook for updates before you leave and come prepared for change.
Talented musician Mark Easton joins us on the main stage from 10am and a group of passionate poetry players from Camp Creative will be sharing their prose on stage from around 12pm.
It’s going to be a good day and I do hope you can make it.
I trust you had a good Christmas and new year.
Keep smiling

Bellingen poetry group
Join Rachel, Ila, Ella, Jason, and maybe a few friends for some ‘hot off the page’ poetry coming to you straight from Camp Creative’s “poetry for people” workshop. This mix of old favourites and brand new experiments invites you to river through an emotional smorgasbord, and might even inspire you to join us onstage at the Bellingen Poetry Slam in June. Check them at on stage around 12pm.

Northbank Community Gardens
Established in 2008, the Northbank Community Garden is an organic non-profit grass-roots project in North Bellingen on Gumbaynggirr Country. The garden stretches over 5 acres, and what started out as a market garden has now established into a beautiful diverse sub-tropical permaculture food forest with many tall and mid story fruit trees, shrubs, and groundcovers. Northbank Community Garden has a communal gathering space, a basic kitchen, a composting toilet, and stage for events. Many local people and families enjoy spending time in the garden, especially in mulberry season when the trees are laden with fruit! Recently we have had many young adults returning to the garden sharing lovely stories about spending time in the garden when they were kids.
Everyone is welcomed to enjoy a piece of fruit from one of the plethora of trees, pick medicinal and culinary herbs, grow your own food in the fabulous soil of one of our large garden plots for rent, or attend the regular Wednesday morning gardening bees! We also hold film nights under the stars, and workshops which this year included booked-out workshops on climate resilient gardening, pruning, and managing invasive weeds
All visitors to the garden are asked to be respectful and gentle. The garden sustains itself by hard work and the generosity and honesty of the community. Contributions are made in the form of donations, materials or by working in the garden. The donation box is found just inside the entrance of the Garden on the left of the driveway..
To find out about upcoming events, please keep an eye on our Facebook page or join up to receive our newsletter and be the first to know when workshops and events are happening!

The group will be on the gates shaking the bucket and helping set up and pack down, so please give generously to their very valuable cause – GROWING ORGANIC LOCAL FOOD.

Gail from High Valley Cheese in B section misplaced some of her gear last market.
Did someone accidentally pick up a large dark grey container containing charcoal tables clothes, signage, placemats, brown paper bags etc. It was sitting on the side of the road at the small entrance (Creek Lane) to the market park waiting for Gail to put in her car. As you can imagine Gail is super keen to get it back before this Saturday, so if you know anything about it please message me and I will pass on her details. Many thanks
