Bellingen Community Markets Newsletter July 2024

Welcome to 20 July 2024 at Bello Markets!

It’s been a crazy weather pattern over the last few months and as a marketeer and visitor, we understand the challenges this brings in attending our market, so if you managed to make it, a big thanks, if you didn’t, we hope you can soon.  It turned out to be a good day but we do look forward to dryer, warmer and sunnier days ahead.

We have a great line up with the Cheynne Murphy Trio front of stage from 10am and the dedicated team at Fernmount Fire Brigade assisting us, and on the gates welcoming all. We love supporting our local, valuable community groups and welcome other groups to make contact and also be our bucket shakers on market day. Visitors know a good thing when they see it and are generous to worthy causes. The Bellingen Shire Residents Association (Committee who oversees our market) also donates to our community group. It’s a win, win situation !

We’re also keen to attract new music to our market. If you know any good artists or bands, please tell them to make contact. Upon saying that, we are booked out until end of 2025, but sometimes we get cancellations and need a band at the last minute. It’s a cool gig with lots of promotion so worth the wait.

July is a popular and busy month as we fall at the end of the school holidays.  We are fortunate to spread out over a large space filled with majestic trees and meandering creeks, along with a large football oval.  Sorry parking can be challenging at the best of times, this is why we ask stallholders to park a couple of streets away so visitors can park closer.

All being said and done, the weatherman says its going to be a beautiful day in down town Bellingen. We have a park full of amazing, unique creations and products, fresh produce, massage, scrumptious food, drinks, coffee, music to soothe your soul and activities to delight the kids with Simone and her big bubbles along with Grace and Kerri our face painters.

It’s going to be an awesome day so make the most of it.

See you soon,

Kaz Selbie
