Spring into Bellingen Community Markets 20 September 2025

As much as the weather man says we have dry days ahead, you know how quickly things change. Either way, we are going ahead and would love you to join us. If it does rain a bit, don’t let it put you off but always be prepared for all weather possibilities and WIND! . The park has dried out and is looking good, ready for our bustling, vibrant presence. The Spring Bellingen Plant Fair was a huge success last Saturday, so much so most of our plant stallholders are not attending this month.

Trust you had a productive and pleasant month, and did all those things you wanted/needed to do. If your going through challenges, hang in there, and trust the right thing will eventuate; don’t fight, just do, confidently, respectfully, calmly. There is already too much angst in our world.

Don’t miss our fabulous music this month with FUNKATU. Local lads, Louie, Dan and Ahva  bring you something very funky. In between the band we have the The Chyrsalis School Busking Band, 15 inspiring youth musicians sharing their talents and passion with us all. We look forward to collaborating with the THE ASPECT GROUP – Autism Spectrum Aust who are our community group. They are doing a great job helping kids so lets help them.

Thanks for reading the rest of our newsletter to find out more about this Saturday’s market.

Have a super duper week and see you soon.

Kaz Selbie – Market Manager

An inspiring group of about 15 string players in Years 3 – 5 sing and play strings (violin, viola, cello & double bass), accompanied by their teachers on violin, acoustic guitar and cajon.  You might have seen them play outside the IGA and at different community events. The musical group are  highly engaging and entertaining! See and hear them performing in front of the main stage at around 11am and 12.30pm.

The Aspect Coffs Harbour School is more than just a school – they are a close-knit, caring community where local students on the autism spectrum are supported to thrive. Their passionate teachers deliver dynamic, personalised learning programs based on the NSW curriculum, adapting lessons to suit each student’s strengths, interests and needs. They believe in building confidence through what students love, and we’re proud to see them grow every day.

As part of Aspect, one of Australia’s largest autism-specific service providers, they offer access to the country’s most extensive autism-specific education program. Working in partnership with families and carers to create a safe, supportive environment,  every student can realise their individual potential.

Aspect Coffs Harbour staff and friends will be at the gates this market welcoming you with a smile. Your  support will helps them continue this life-changing work and help create a more inclusive, autism-friendly community.

North Bellingen Fire Brigade will be there too with the big fire truck to promote “GET READY WEEKEND”, helping you be prepared for bushfire season coming up. They will be positioned at A gate, so go say hi and find out how to protect you and your family this summer.

We have noticed a few stallholders driving to their site and blocking the path while unpacking. We ask you drive into your site if you can, or park very close to it, so other cars can pass. As you know our paths are narrow so you need to move over as much as you can. Also quickly unpack and take car out, then come back to set up. Same goes for the afternoon. We ask you start packing up at 1.30pm, ready to get you vehicle at 2pm so you can load up and depart by 3.30pm latest. Please don’t bring your car in, park on path, and then start packing up. This creates traffic chaos and unnecessary delays and no one wants that. Please help us to make set up and pack down a smooth transition by following above. Many thanks for your understanding.

Lastly but not leastly, please…..

Remember no DOGS at our market.

Don’t smoke within the park and if you need a puff, go outside of the market.

Avoid burning incense or candles, as your neighbouring stallholders may find it hard to ingest.
